The goal of The Arts facet is to increase and expand art activity, and elevate our programs through arts integration and effectively create an arts renaissance within our organization and programmatic efforts.
Classics Through the Ages
Classics Through the Ages focuses on increasing the interest, knowledge and participation of African-American youth in the classical arts. This exciting initiative seeks to afford exemplary student artists opportunities to hone their talents and skills while earning recognition and support for their educational and career pursuits.
Our chapter works with local high schools to identify a student(s) to mentor or a student group to support.
National Poster Art Competition
Project Walking Fete: Make Health a Habit! Poster Art Competition was created in 1995 in conjunction with The Links, Incorporated’s National Walk-A-Thon.
The National Poster Art Competition theme, serves to broaden our health message, align it with our Health and Human Services facet to include a wider spectrum of healthy lifestyle choices.
Our chapter implemented the National Poster Art Competition by presenting the contest to selected students at the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County.
